Uniflight has completed the overhaul and refurbishment of five Bell 412 helicopters for the Honduran Air Force.
The extensive upgrade project included a complete overhaul and inspection of the airframe, engines and all dynamic components as well as an avionics upgrade and modernisation.
Uniflight carried out most of the work in Honduras, while it shipped components to its main facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, US, for the upgrade project.
Bell 412 helicopters are powered by Pratt & Whitney PT6T-3D Twin Pac engines and have wide-opening doors to accommodate a forklift with 2t lifting capability.
The helicopter is also equipped with rupture-resistant fuel cells, energy-absorbing crew seats and collective mounted throttles.
