The Egyptian Air Force (EAF) has awarded a contract to Airbus Military for the delivery of three C295 aircraft.
The EAF ordered the C295 because of its ease of maintenance and operational capabilities in desert areas.

The C295 medium-sized tactical aircraft is used for transportation of personnel, troop, palletised cargo, casualty evacuation, communication and logistic duties or certified air-dropping.
The aircraft will be delivered from 2011 and will be used to increase the EAF’s capacity in tactical and logistic transport.
