CSSS.NET has received an operational and technical services contract to provide support for the US Air Force (USAF) air combat command (ACC) operational support centre (OSC) located at Joint Air Force Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia, US.

The company has partnered with MacAulay-Brown (MacB) to work on the $6.2m contract, which includes a one-year base performance period and three option years.

Under the contract, the CSSS.NET team will deliver mission-critical support for air force weapons systems by supplying a broad spectrum of IT services and innovative technology solutions.

Specifically, the contract work will fulfil requirements in information assurance, change management, network engineering, systems administration and video teleconference support domains.

CSSS.NET president and CEO Lisa Wolford said that the contract provides the company with an opportunity to further expand its partnership with the USAF to support systems that are critical to national defence.

”Our team brings together a deep understanding of Air Force technology and culture with talented subject-matter experts who have successfully addressed some of the toughest challenges in IT today, including transitions to the cloud, cybersecurity, IPV6 and continuous monitoring,” Wolford added.

”We look forward to leveraging this rich knowledge and expertise to provide outstanding solutions for the ACC OSC across a broad array of technical areas.”

MacB Mission Systems Group senior vice president and acting general manager Fred Norman said: ”We look forward to partnering with the ACC OSC team to increase mission readiness by helping ensure the highest level of systems operations.”

Considered the primary provider of combat airpower to US war-fighting commands, ACC operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management and electronic-combat aircraft to help support the global implementation of national security strategy.

It also provides command, control, communications and intelligence systems, and conducts global information operations.
