Elbit Systems of America has been selected by the US Air Force (USAF) to compete for future task orders within the service’s Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract.

The selection will enable the company to participate in contracts involving the development of capabilities that will enable JADC2.

A US Department of Defense (DoD) concept, JADC2 seeks to connect sensors across all military services to a single network to facilitate decision-making and gain a tactical advantage in future conflicts.

The JADC2 ID/IQ is a multi-award multi-level security effort that seeks to develop and operate systems as a unified force across all domains (air, land, sea, space, cyber, and electromagnetic spectrum) in an open architecture family of systems to provide capabilities through multiple integrated platforms.

The contracts Elbit Systems of America will be able to compete for will be associated with the maturation, demonstration and proliferation of capability across platforms and domains.

Elbit Systems of America president and CEO Raanan Horowitz said: “Elbit Systems of America is honoured to help the US Air Force realise the vision for connecting sensors and effects across multiple domains.

“Our concept for JADC2 facilitates our warfighters enjoying an asymmetric advantage by providing tools that shorten reaction time and aid in decision-making.

“To achieve this, we are developing networked, AI-enabled solutions that fuse sensors and data to increase situational awareness and deliver increased lethality.”

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Elbit Systems of America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Israel’s Elbit Systems.

In August, Science Applications International (SAIC) secured a $950m multiple-award Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) contract to enable JADC2 across all platforms and domains for USAF.
