Lockheed Martin has awarded a five-year contract to BAE Systems for the sustainment of electronic warfare (EW) systems on board the F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft.
The contract will see BAE Systems manage the supply chain and provide infrastructure required to keep EW systems mission-capable and available to troops.
BAE Systems will also manage regional warehouses with on-hand EW component inventories and establish various metrics to ensure the readiness of EW systems.
Raytheon Intelligence Information & Services has secured a contract to provide services for the sustainment of the US Air Force’s Cross Domain Enterprise All Source User Repository (CENTAUR) system.
Raytheon will maintain and sustain the CENTAUR system components and support for the continued development of the NGA Coalition Data Broker until May 2023.
CENTAUR serves as a common platform that allows intelligence agencies to share intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information.

Work also includes integration, systems engineering, development, prototypes, flyable and non-flyable technology demonstrators, test and evaluation, as well as delivery of weapon solutions to the US Department of Defense.
Awarded by the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Munitions Directorate, and Eglin Air Force Base, contractual work is expected to be completed in December 2020.
The Government of Bahrain has requested a $45m foreign military sale with the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) for 3,200 general purpose and penetrator warhead bomb bodies.
The proposed sale includes 1,500 MK-82, 600 MK-83, and 600 MK-84 general purpose bomb bodies, as well as 500 BLU-109 penetrator warhead bomb bodies.
It also covers repair parts, personnel training and equipment, support equipment, as well as shipping and logistics services.
Munitions will be installed on the Royal Bahraini Air Force’s F-16 Fighting Falcon combat jets to strengthen the country’s homeland defence and counter-terrorism capabilities.
