US-based company Leidos Holdings IT hiring declined 19.3% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 20.32% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 27.36% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.54% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Leidos Holdings IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Leidos Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 45.4% in June 2022, and a 39.59% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 24.23% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 46.26%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 18.1% in June 2022, an 11.94% drop from May 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Leidos Holdings

North America emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 94.17% share, which marked a 39.21% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 4.6%, registering a 63.41% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 1.23% share and a 33.33% rise over May 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 93.87% share in June 2022, a 39.41% decline over May 2022. The UK featured next with a 2.15% share, down 68.18% over the previous month. Austria recorded a 1.53% share, a decline of 54.55% compared with May 2022.

Mid Level jobs lead Leidos Holdings IT hiring activity in June 2022

Mid Level jobs held a share of 59.51%, down by 30.96% from May 2022. Junior Level positions with a 29.45% share, a decline of 52% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.82% share, down 51.52% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.23%, recording a month-on-month increase of 33.33%.
