Netherlands-based company Airbus IT hiring rose 10.7% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 15.34% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 17.39% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.42% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Airbus IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Airbus, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 43.12% in September 2021, and a 14.63% rise over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 19.27% in September 2021, and registered growth of 23.53%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 13.76% in September 2021, a 6.25% drop from August 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Airbus

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 96.33% share, which marked a 20.69% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 3.67%, registering a 33.33% month-on-month growth.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 40.37% share in September 2021, a 12.82% growth over August 2021. France featured next with a 19.27% share, down 12.5% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 17.43% share, an increase of 216.67% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Airbus IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.56%, up by 13.04% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.77% share, a growth of 35% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.67% share, up 100% over August 2021.
