Germany-based company adidas IT hiring rose 2.8% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.88% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 7.99% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 1.06% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops adidas IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by adidas, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 63.64% in October 2021, and a 23.64% drop over September 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 28.79% in October 2021, and registered a decline of 44.12%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.55% in October 2021, a flat growth from September 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at adidas

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global apparel IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 65.15% share, which marked a 25.86% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 30.3%, registering a 4.76% month-on-month decline. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 3.03% share and a 75% drop over September 2021.

In the fourth place was North America with a share of 1.52% and a month-on-month decline of 80%.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s apparel industry IT hiring activity with a 37.88% share in October 2021, an 8.7% growth over September 2021. China featured next with a 19.7% share, up 85.71% over the previous month. Netherlands recorded a 13.64% share, a decline of 50% compared with September 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead adidas IT hiring activity in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.52%, down by 35.85% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.73% share, a decline of 37.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.18% share, down 14.29% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 7.58%, recording a month-on-month increase of 150%.
