FN Herstal will be presenting its firearms, integrated weapon systems and latest technology that positions it as one of the world’s leading innovative firearms manufacturers at the SITDEF Defense and Prevention of Disasters Exhibition 2019 in Peru on 16-19 May.

The Subcompact FN SCAR®-SC

At the end of 2017, FN Herstal launched its new FN SCAR®-SC Subcompact Carbine in 5.56mm x 45mm (.223). More recently, the company unveiled a variant in 7.62mm x 35mm (.300 BLK) calibre. Both feature a standard telescopic buttstock and are available with a wide choice of buttstock types and accessories to accommodate the specific needs of the users.

Also showcased at the FN Herstal booth will be the 5.56 and 7.62 FN SCAR® assault rifles, with optional underslung or stand-alone 40mm grenade launchers, and 7.62 precision rifles. Additional recent developments of the company include all FN SCAR® carbines and rifles being now available with a receiver with Picatinny type side rails or KeyMod receiver.

FN® Machine Guns

FN Herstal is the birthplace of the world’s most widely recognised light, medium and heavy machine guns. The FN® M2HB-QCB Heavy Machine Gun featuring the Quick Change Barrel designed and developed by FN Herstal (FN® QCB) enables soldiers to quickly, easily and safely change the barrel without assistance. It continues to be regarded as one of the finest firearms ever made.

Another legendary firearm on display will be the 7.62mm x 51mm FN MAG® (FN® M240) Medium Machine Gun. It continues to set the standard for 7.62mm x 51mm Nato calibre Medium Machine Guns for accuracy, reliability, and durability.

Lastly, the FN MINIMI® Mk3 Light Machine Gun (FN® M249), available in 5.56mm or 7.62mm, will also be showcased. It combines lightweight, ergonomic shape and use with a large number of certified accessories, and has been combat-proven over and over since its introduction onto the market.

Cutting-edge FN® e-novation

FN Herstal provides complete, state-of-the-art solutions to enhance dismounted soldier capabilities, such as the FN® FCU Mk3 fire control unit for 40mm grenades, the FN® SAM solution – combining FN SmartCore® shot counter and associated software – ensuring optimised, digital small arms management, and the FN® Expert marksmanship training system for carbines, rifles and recoilless rifles guns that is safe, efficient and easy to use for both shooters and instructors.

Comprehensive Airborne Axial Suite

FN Herstal fixed-forward firing weapon systems come with a complete suite of solutions, providing military forces with the highest level of operational capability for their rotary or fixed-wing applications thanks to a range of pods that integrate machine guns and / or rockets, together with innovative control and aiming systems. On display at SITDEF this year, the FN® HMP250 LCC airborne pod system, an all-in-one concept, featuring the exclusive .50 cal FN® M3P machine gun (firing 1,100 RPM).
