An airstrike carried out by the Iraqi Air Force in the Anbar province has reportedly injured the ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani.
In a statement, the Iraqi military was quoted by Reuters as saying that Adnani has been critically wounded after the Iraqi forces launched two guided missiles against the militant group a few days ago.

The statement added: "There are confirmed reports that the so-called terrorist Abu Muhammad al-Adnani the spokesman of the Daesh (Islamic State) terrorists was wounded in an air strike in the region of Barwana."
The Iraqi military added that Adnani lost ‘a large amount of blood’ and has been transported to another hideaway near Mosul.
In a separate attack on Thursday, nearly 15 senior leaders of IS were killed.
The US-led coalition claims that the airstrikes across the nation this week has killed more than 100 IS fighters.

By GlobalDataMeanwhile, the US-led coalition that has been backing the Iraqi forces in combating ISIS since 2014 did not claim responsibility for the targeted airstrike on Adnani.
In May, US announced a reward of up to $5m for any information leading to Adnani who is expected to succeed IS leader leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi upon the latter’s death.
