Under the contract, Vertex will serve as the contractor logistic support (CLS) provider for the USAF fleet.

The latest IDIQ is a modification to an earlier contract with a cumulative face value of approximately $158m.

Vertex Aerospace president and CEO John Boyington said: “The renewal of this C-12 CLS contract is a testimony to Vertex’s high-quality, innovative solutions that have led to a 20-plus year relationship with the USAF C-12 programme.

“These long-term relationships have allowed us to streamline maintenance operations through predictive analysis approaches and cost control efficiency, offering our customers accelerated readiness.”

Vertex noted that the CLS support will be carried out at seven domestic locations and 16 international sites.

Work under the contract is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is acting as the contracting activity.

In February 2019, Vertex Aerospace received a $97.5m contract extension with the USAF to manage and sustain the base supply of its T-1A Trainer Fleet aircraft.

The company had already been awarded prime positions on the USAF Installation Contracting Center’s Aircraft Maintenance Enterprise Solution and Consolidated Rotary Wing Maintenance contract vehicles.
