The aircraft refuelled the C-17 flying at 890kmph at almost 3,000l of kerosene per minute.

The is the first time a C-17 of the HAW has been refuelled by a KDC-10 tanker and its successful flight provided KDC-10 with its C-17 certification to routinely perform in-flight refuelling for C-17s.

The C-17 is one of three airlifters acquired by a consortium of 12 nations operating the HAW.
