These task orders cover professional sustainment design and engineering services, repair and upgrade projects. They also include demolition services.

According to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), the cumulative face value of the shared programme stands at $2bn.

Jacobs federal and environmental solutions senior vice-president and general manager Tim Byers said: “Our past performance with AFCEC and the Air Force was marked by our innovative installations of the future concept, showcasing smart systems, and building more sustainable, cyber-secure and resilient solutions.

“As the airforce plans for the future, we continue to drive leading-edge solutions, mission and quality-of-life facilities and infrastructure while lowering lifecycle maintenance costs across the enterprise.”

The latest contract has a base period of five years and an option to renew for a further five years.

According to Jacobs, the contract includes projects with ‘Title I, Title II, and other AE Services’ for facilities and general infrastructure.

Contract projects include global AF facilities renovation, historic airfields modernisation, hangers and air traffic control towers.

Infrastructure development, including roads, railroads and bridges, are also part of the projects covered under the contract.

Last September, Jacobs completed the test campaign of a new version of its KeyRadar product in an aerial system pod called AgilePod.
