US-based security solutions and services provider Telos has secured a new $108m contract to provide planning, infrastructure systems, networks operations, and support for the US Air Force’s (USAF) Air Combat Command (ACC).
Under the terms of the deal, Telos will be responsible for carrying out enterprise architecture planning, engineering, project and configuration management, as well as network enterprise services.
The company will provide the necessary infrastructure systems to the USAF ACC, and integrate voice, data and video communications with commercial, the US Department of Defense (DoD), and coalition networks, in addition to delivering encryption for on-base secret communications.
Telos chief operating officer Ed Williams said: “Protecting the airforce’s network and mission systems is more important today than ever before.
“As a vital part of this front line defence capability, Telos is proud to incorporate innovative and emerging technologies to improve the airforce’s IT systems and mission performance.
“In the key area of defensive cyber operations, the ACC is leading the way for the airforce.”
Telos will also be responsible for providing network assistance and technical support to its client.
Work carried out under the project will allow ACC’s mission defence teams to execute Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) for weapon and mission systems across the USAF command.
Awarded under the Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) Network Operations and Infrastructure Solutions Small Business contract, the work on the project will be carried out at a total 17 ACC locations across the country.
