Wyle has secured a contract for delivery of non-destructive inspection maintenance services to the US Air Force Material Command (AFMC).
Featuring a one-year base performance period and four option years, the $9.17m contract seeks supply of non-destructive inspection maintenance services for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, which is located at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB) in Oklahoma, US.

Maintenance activities to be carried out by Wyle’s technicians include scheduling and performing interval preventative maintenance on Eddy current and ultrasonic inspection systems, data storage devices, network equipment and computers.
Additional work involves diagnosis and repair of equipment malfunctions, system software modification for software and hardware maintenance and inspection development and equipment modernisation.
The preventative and remedial maintenance specifically aims to ensure that inspection equipment remains in good operating condition and also addresses manufacturing specifications.
Wyle programme manager Tony Todd said the company offers a full spectrum of non-destructive inspection capabilities from laboratory conceptual feasibility analysis to integrated, qualified and fielded capability.

The company will also store, track and handle government property to support the non-destructive inspection programme, in addition to offering Eddy current and ultrasonic probe sustainment and repair.
Considered to be one of the largest units in the AFMC, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex conducts programmed depot maintenance, repair and overhaul of a wide range of US Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, Navy and foreign military sales (FMS) aircraft and accessory components.
