Currently leading the EuroDASS consortium, which is responsible for Praetorian design, production and delivery, Selex ES received a €400m contract from BAE Systems for the supply of the systems in support of the Tranche 3A Typhoon programme in September 2010.

The company also secured a contract to provide the Praetorian system to an undisclosed Middle-Eastern Typhoon operator, with Selex ES Electronic Warfare Marketing and Sales VP Pete Forrest saying the company is "proud" to play a significant role in the protection of the Typhoon aircraft.

”As a company we continue to invest 15% of revenues in research and development which has lead to us bringing to market highly advanced EW products like our SAGE electronic support measure system.”

Fitted internally to the aircraft, Praetorian is an advanced electronic warfare (EW) suite designed to provide 360° coverage against air-to-air and surface-to-air threats in the battlefield.
