The US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) has awarded a contract to Scalable Network Technologies to support cyber warrior training requirements.

Under the contract, the company will deliver products and services including the EXata/Cyber network simulation platform for development of cyber warfare training systems.

The EXata/Cyber simulation engine allows users to create ‘software virtual networks’ to help trainees to identify, assess and plan with retaliation options to overcome weaknesses and threats.

EXata can be deployed for modelling under both wired and wireless environments and can be integrated with other simulators for overall mission effects assessment.

Scalable CTO and founder Rajive Bagrodia said: "Advanced simulation technology is an ideal answer to the urgent need for a dynamic, realistic and affordable cyber training environment."
