Russia has completed the deliveries of six Mi-171Sh military transport helicopters to the Peruvian Defence Ministry under a contract signed with Rosoboronexport in 2010.
The deliveries include supply of technical equipment for operations support of the helicopters.
The helicopters, manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, will be used to perform missions as per the requirements of Peru Armed Forces, including drug trafficking.
The multirole Mi-171Sh rotorcraft are equipped with Shturm-V complex guided missiles, unguided rockets, cannons and protection systems.
The helicopter, based on Mi-171, can also perform search and rescue operations and destroy armour as well as fire positions.
