The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) have concluded a four-day joint exercise, Eastern Bridge – 2011, at Jamnagar Air Force Station, India.

More than 115 RAFO personnel and six Jaguar aircraft participated alongside IAF Jaguars and MiG 29s in a range of flying missions related to operational, maintenance and administrative procedures.

RAFO and IAF aircrews gained exposure to long-duration sorties with in-flight refuelling, large force strike packages, air-to-ground bombing and maritime strike roles.

Eastern Bridge was first held in October 2009 when six IAF Jaguars operated at RAFO Thumrait, Oman.
