The Egyptian Air Force (EAF) has selected Lockheed Martin’s Sniper advanced targeting pod (ATP) to equip its F-16 aircraft purchased under the Peace Vector programme.
The Sniper ATP is capable of providing positive target identification, autonomous tracking, coordinate generation, precise weapons guidance and non-traditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (NTISR).

The pod offers high-resolution streaming video, allowing aircrew to positively identify targets from extended standoff ranges and day / night conditions.
Lockheed sniper pods are also used on US Air Force and multinational F-16, F-15, B-1, F-18, Harrier, A-10 and B-52 aircraft.
