DynCorp International (DI) has been awarded a contract to provide precision measurement equipment laboratories (PMEL) support services to the US Air Force (USAF).

The company has been selected to perform as a subcontractor to APRO International on the Air Force Enterprise Contracted (AFEC) PMEL indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract.

Under the subcontract, DI team members will provide management, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform the PMEL services.

DynCorp International DynLogistics senior vice-president George Krivo said the company has a long history of supporting calibration labs for the US and foreign customers.

"This subcontract allows us to further expand our services to the US Air Force while partnering with an economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business," Krivo said.

"The company has a long history of supporting calibration labs for the US and foreign customers."

The subcontract features a one year base performance period and four one-year options, and a maximum potential value of $9m.

Valued at $220.7m, the AFEC PMEL IDIQ contract was awarded by the Headquarters Air Combat Command, Acquisition Management and Integration Center, to APRO International, Goldbelt Falcon, Science & Management Resources, United Paradyne and Y-Tech Services, last month.

The recipients are required to provide all management, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the PMEL services as defined in the Performance Work Statement.

Work will be performed at Barksdale Air Force Base (AFB), Louisiana, Beale AFB, California, Cannon AFB, New Mexico, Dyess AFB, Texas, Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, Minot AFB, North Dakota, Moody AFB, Georgia, Offutt AFB, Nebraska, Royal Air Force (RAF) Feltwell, UK; and Whiteman AFB, Missouri, and is expected to complete by September 2019.

In addition to this, DI and APRO secured a task order to provide PMEL support at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, US.
