Criterion Systems has won a contract to provide sustainment and maintenance support for the US Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS).
Awarded by the Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) under the company’s Alliant small business government wide acquisition contract (GWAC), the task order has a maximum potential value of $19m, if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, the company will provide IT services for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) sustainment and specialised technical support to systems and equipment at DCGS sites both within the continental US (CONUS) and outside CONUS (OCONUS).
Specifically, the company will perform on-site and deployed system administration, configuration management, in addition to providing hardware, software, and network maintenance services to support COTS DCGS servers, workstations, exploitation equipment, and network communications devices.
In addition, Criterion will also provide related support necessary for effective operations in a distributed operations command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems (C4ISR) programme.
Criterion president and CEO Promod Sharma said the DCGS plays a significant role in the US’s defence by producing intelligence information using geographically separated, networked sites.

The mission-critical contract is scheduled to be executed by Criterion’s National Security Operations line of business.
The competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) Alliant small business contract will enable Criterion to certify as a small business during the five-year option period, beginning February 2014.
Comprising 45 geographically separated, networked sites, the AF DCGS is USAF’s premier globally networked intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) weapon system. It produces intelligence information collected by the U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
