BAF Wing commander Mahbub Ahmet said: “The aircraft had flown a long distance of 6,000km, crossing three continents and seven countries, to land at SE PLANT 410 CA.

“I am grateful to SE PLANT 410 CA for a well-done overhaul and modernisation.”

“The AN-32 is a twin-engine, tactical light transport aircraft that can manoeuvre day and night in tropical and mountainous regions.”

Ukroboronprom State Concern deputy director general for Aircraft Industry and Operations Volodymyr Korobov was cited by Defence Blog as saying that the aircraft was equipped with modern equipment, a new automatic ground collision avoidance system, as well as a satellite navigation facility.

The BAF’s all three An-32 transport aircraft overhaul will take place in Ukraine.
