The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) has consolidated its C-130 Hercules workforce and squadrons under No 84 Wing.
Under the restructuring, No 37 Squadron’s C-130 Hercules fleet will move under No 84 Wing Command and operate alongside C-130 workforce training at No 285 Squadron.
The restructuring will allow greater efficiency in command and decision-making in operating one of the Australian Defence Force’s busiest aircraft.
In the next 18 months, No 33 Squadron will be consolidated with No 86 Wing, and the Air Movements Training and Development Unit will come under direct command of HQ Air Lift Group.
