The South Korean Air Force has received the first batch of three F-15K fighter jets from Boeing under the second-phase F-X fighter acquisition programme.
Boeing delivered the high-end multirole F-15K aircraft at the 11th Fighter Wing based in Daegu, according to the Korea Herald.

The F-15Ks, worth $100m, are capable of air-to-ground, air-to-air and air-to-sea missions, in day, night and any weather condition.
It can fly at a maximum speed of Mach 2.3 with an operational radius of 1,800km.
The F-15K model received under the second-phase project is equipped with a PW-229 engine.
Boeing will deliver 21 F-15K fighter aircraft by March 2012 to the air force, under the second phase project signed in May 2008.
