Iranian Air Force deputy commander Hossein Chitforoush has said that Iran will request that the US returns fighter jets that the air force bought in the 1970s.
The US sold 80 F-14 bomber aircraft to Iran in 1974, but refused to deliver them to Iran after the Islamic Revolution.

Hossein Chitforoush has told Mehr News Agency that Iran wants to take back bombers blocked by the US because it is their legitimate right.
“However, this issue must be pursued by relevant organisations through relevant channels,” he said.
