Rolls-Royce has received a contract to provide in-service support for the engines on CC-130J military transport aircraft operated by the Canadian Air Force.

Under the $70m contract, Rolls-Royce will provide Lockheed Martin with logistics support for the AE 2100D3 engines for the next six years.

The firm will provide engine management and repair, logistics support and on-site technical support for the engine under the contract, which can exceed $260m over the life expectancy of the fleet.

The contract, modelled after other MissionCare contracts, will provide a comprehensive propulsion support package to meet the needs of Canada’s CC-130J aircraft on a per-engine-flight-hour basis.

Canada’s new CC-130Js are powered by four Rolls-Royce AE 2100D3 advanced turboprop engines.
