Vector Aerospace Corporation will provide overhaul and repair services on the Rolls-Royce T56 engine and associated major assemblies, under a contract for the Middle East-North African (MENA) region.
The T56 engine repair and overhaul support will include complete test procedures for a fleet of Lockheed Martin C-130H aircraft.
Vector will carry out the technical repair and overhaul activities on the T56 engine at its facilities in the UK under the $30m, three-year contract.
The T56 is a single-shaft, modular turboprop engine with a 14-stage axial flow compressor driven by a four-stage turbine unit.
The aircraft powers a wide variety of propeller-driven aircraft, including C-130 Hercules, L-100 transports, E-2 Hawkeye early warning aircraft and P-3 Orion anti-submarine warfare aircraft.
