The US Department of Defense has awarded Harris Corporation a contract to deliver JTRS-approved Falcon III AN/PRC-152(C) multiband handheld radio systems and accessories for the US Air Force.

The AN/PRC-152(C), which operates on the JTRS software communications architecture, will enhance portable line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight tactical communications.

The device will also serve as the dismountable transceiver in the AN/VRC-110 vehicular amplifier adapter system.

The Falcon III tactical radios and related systems can easily integrate pre-planned upgrades and new capabilities and is compatible with legacy radios.

Harris developed the Falcon III AN/PRC-152(C) following the US military’s joint tactical radio system (JTRS) enterprise business model.
