Britannica Knowledge Systems (BKS) is to provide its Fox advanced training management system to the Canadian Air Force (CAE) for implementation as part of the integrated information and learning environment (AFIILE) programme.
The extensive training and readiness management system suite has been designed to optimise training operations under AFIILE.
AFIILE will use web portal technology to link students, instructors, training resources and course management capabilities into a seamless system, according to BKS.
It will enable users to easily generate, publish and update the most complex optimised training and operational schedules with automated tools and an intuitive interface and provide streamlined training management information across the air force, reduce training time and increase training capacity.
The AFIILE programme, which began in the middle of 2008, is expected to take four years to complete its three-phase roll-out at air force training establishments across Canada.
