The Brazilian Air Force has received the first three Mi-35M transport and combat helicopters from a contract signed in 2008.
The air force will use the Mi-35Ms to carry out operations in extreme climatic conditions in the hot and humid Amazon rainforest, according to ITAR-TASS.
It is known for its reliability, operational qualities and technical features.
A modified version of the Mi-24 low-capacity troop transport helicopter, the Mi-35M is powered by VK-2500 engines and has a maximum take-off power of 2,400hp .
The helicopter is also fitted with high-precision integrated navigation equipment including Glonass and Navstar receivers based on multipurpose displays in the cockpit and airborne computers.
