The radio unit of the Russian Air Force has begun installing an automatic system to monitor airspace in the country’s far eastern Khabarovsk territory.
The Primorye and Transbaikal territories are among the areas to be monitored by the system, which is being installed in the outskirts of Khabarovsk.
The radio unit will monitor all military and civil flight courses within the region, including international flights.
The system will remain unaffected by unstable voltage and power cuts, according to news.xinhuanet.com.
