The Israel Air Force has begun developing a simulator farm to train soldiers manning the Arrow, Patriot and Iron Dome defence systems to better prepare missile defence operators for future threats.

The centre will be located at the Air Force’s air defence division training base and will include the Hawk surface-to-air missile system.

The division will receive an advanced simulator of the Patriot missile system and a Iron Dome system simulator.

Air Defense Division’s training base commander Col. Yariv Shnapp was quoted by the Jerusalem Post as saying that the simulators will allow the Israel Air Force to train operators in the best way possible and improve their operational capabilities.

The simulator farm will be the most advanced unit of its kind and will be made available to foreign militaries interested in studying and practising new systems, according to Shnapp.
