Raytheon is to exercise the logistics option to support the US Air Force in its high-speed anti-radiation mission targeting system (HTS) programme.

The HTS is deployed on the air force’s F-16CJ block 50/52 Fighting Falcon aircraft and enables suppression of enemy air defence missions providing situational awareness on surface-to-air defence radars.

The HTS system provides an all-weather detection and identification of enemy air defence radars including the type, range and bearing of threat radars.

The system features a pod, the high-speed anti-radiation missile, the aircraft launcher interface computer and HTS-unique F-16 software.

The Raytheon contract is valued at $31m. Eglin Air Force Base will manage the contract activity.
