The flight lasted for two hours and 14 minutes and all basic aircraft systems were tested during the flight.

The aircraft is a part of a larger order for six Gripen C/D with associated equipment and service, a Saab 340 AEW with Erieye radar and data links, one Saab 340 aircraft for transport and training along with a command and control system with data links.
