A (K)DC-10 aircraft owned by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) that underwent a cockpit upgrade programme (CUP) has completed a certification flight-test.
The CUP equips the aircraft with new flight-management and display systems and improved communications, enhancing the capability of the RNLAF.

The five-hour final test flight of the CUP was conducted by the RNLAF, Fokker and Boeing.
The certification will be followed by operational test and evaluation of the aircraft by the air force.
The RNLAF will induct the second of three (K)DC-10s for the CUP modification in 2010.
