The US Air Force has ordered seven T-6A Texan II training aircraft from Hawker Beechcraft for approximately $83m.
The T-6A offers high flexibility for a primary trainer and is also capable of performing training missions well into an advanced training curriculum.

The trainer aircraft can fly up to a distance of 86nm powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-68 turboprop engine.
The T-6A is currently used by the US Air Force, the Hellenic Air Force of Greece, and the Nato flying training programme, along with the US Navy as a primary trainer and weapons and navigation trainer.
The T-6A is replacing the air force T-37B that was developed in the 1950s.
