Raytheon’s active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar for the F-15E aircraft has received the US Air Force designation of AN/APG-82(V)1.
The AESA radar features extended range, enhanced multitarget tracking and precision-engagement capabilities. It evolves from the previous APG-79 radar for the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft and the APG-63(V)3 for the F-15C platform.

The AESA radar is being developed for F-15 Eagle platform as a part of the Boeing’s F-15E radar modernisation programme.
The APG-82 is currently in the system development and demonstration phase and Raytheon will produce developmental and flight-test radar units to support integration of the APG-82 into the F-15E weapons system.
The radar will provide next-generation air-to-air and air-to-surface capabilities to the Eagle fighter.
