The Iraqi Air Force will receive seven T-6A, Texan II training aircraft Hawker Beechcraft, under a new contract.
The $170m contract also includes orders for ground-based training systems, aircraft spare parts, technical publications and two years of contractor logistics.
The primary training aircraft for the US air force, is capable of training beginner pilots and performing advanced training missions.
The aircraft is currently used in the US air force, the Hellenic Air Force of Greece and by Nato as a primary trainer and weapons and navigation trainer.
