The Saudi Ministry of Defence and Aviation will procure three additional A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport aircraft for the Royal Saudi Air Force from Airbus.
The multi-role tanker has a basic fuel capacity of 245,000lb, which allows it to undertake air-to-air refuelling missions without additional fuel tanks.
The additional aircraft order brings the total order to six aircraft.
The tankers will be configured with hose and drogue under-wing pods and the Airbus Military Air Refuelling Boom System. The contract includes an in-service support package.
The initial deal was struck in 2008 and the first aircraft is expected to enter service in 2011.
