A Rolls-Royce-built Adour mk821 engine has been installed and tested by the manufacturer to prove its suitability for Indian Air Force’s Jaguar upgrade requirement.

A mk821 engine was successfully installed into an Indian Air Force Jaguar and tested in presence of an Indian Government official.

The engine ran at full reheat and achieved all the performance targets set by the Indian Air Force.

Indian operational requirements will be fulfilled by the mk821, which offers greater thrust and lower life cycle costs.

The installation and testing were carried out to win the IAF’s contract for Jaguar upgrade with the new engines.
