The Belarusian Air Force is likely to receive 18 outdated Russian Su-30K fighter jets, which were used by the Indian Air Force (IAF).

According to Kommersant, IAF returned the aircraft to Russia’s Irkut aircraft corporation after replacing them with new advanced Su-30MKI fighters.

Belarus will first receive a batch of ten jets which will be overhauled to the Su-30KN version, while the remaining aircraft are expected to be delivered in November this year.

The existing cost for an outdated Su-30K is thought to be around $10m with an additional $5m required for overhaul of each plane.
