BAE Systems has been selected to deliver its interior control panel for the US Air Force (USAF) KC-46A tanker aircraft being developed by Boeing.
The touchscreen controls system features a durable design with intuitive controls, a colour touchscreen display, and a variety of peripheral and network ports.
The panel touchscreen technology and interface allow the control of various interior functions on the new strategic transport aircraft.
BAE will convert its 737 attendant control panel (ACP) into a derivative aircraft application to support the tanker project.
BAE Systems aircraft electronics director Steve Hissong said the system could be installed on legacy aircraft, making the touchscreen controls a suitable solution for the KC-46A.
BAE will perform the KC-46A tanker touchscreen cabin control systems work in New York and Indiana, US.
