Indra has signed a framework agreement with the Spanish Ministry of Defence for the maintenance of satellite terminals of the satellite military communications system (SECOMSAT).
Under the €17m agreement, the maintenance and lifecycle engineering service will be licensed by the three branches of the army and other organs of the ministry.
The maintenance service will be provided to detect and correct potential failures in the system, while the engineering activities will be performed to extend the satellite terminal’s service life.
The service will be customised to meet the requirements established in the contract, and guarantees maximum availability of the equipment and reduced maintenance-related costs.
Secure communications networks provide connectivity between troops, either in international or national missions, and command and control.
