The US Air Force (USAF) will today launch the ORS-1 military satellite from Nasa Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, US.
The ORS-1 military satellite was due to be launched yesterday by a Minotaur I rocket from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, but was rescheduled due to unfavourable weather conditions.
The Minotaur I rocket will release the satellite about 400km above the Earth.
The tactical reconnaissance satellite has been designed to provide tactical surveillance and reconnaissance imagery directly to US troops on the battlefield.
