Boeing has completed the delivery of six F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircrew and maintenance trainers to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in Queensland, Australia.

The aircrew devices suite includes two tactical operation flight trainers (TOFT) and low-cost trainers (LCT).

Each TOFT is integrated with L-3 Link’s 360° SimuSphere visual display and SimuView image generator to provide a full spectrum of advanced tactical training environments to both pilots and weapons sensor officers.

The Boeing-built LCT carries a mission computer emulation and provides navigation, weapons, radar, and electronic countermeasures training for pilots and air combat officers.

The trainers have also been installed with two integrated visual environment maintenance trainers (IVEMT) to virtually train across all major Super Hornet systems and subsystems.

The delivery is part of the acquisition and establishment of 24 Australian F/A-18F block II aircraft through a foreign military sale.
