Integral Systems has been awarded a contract to construct the first two deployment sites for the US Air Force (USAF) rapid attack identification, detection and reporting system (RAIDRS) block 10 (RB-10) programme.

Integral RAIDRS programme manager David Conway said the new contract would serve as a beginning to the site deployment of RAIDRS.

RAIDRS is a ground-based defensive counterspace programme that will directly support combatant commanders by providing real-time event detection, characterisation, geolocation and electromagnetic interference (EMI) reporting for critical satellite communications systems.

RB-10 features commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software components including RT Logic’s Telemetrix, SAT’s Monics satellite carrier monitoring and interference detection and geolocation system as well as Newpoint’s COMPASS network management system (NMS).

The $6.99m contract also includes funding to design a third deployment site.
