Raytheon has secured a contract to train Afghan Air Force (AAF) pilots in the Middle East.

Raytheon’s vice president for the Middle East and North Africa, Kevin Massengill, confirmed that the company has signed the contract and will conduct the training in an Arab Gulf country.

The $42.8m training programme will be an “ongoing enterprise” and will continue for a couple of months.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports Massengill as saying that Raytheon is also in discussions to train Pakistan Air Force pilots.
