The Pakistani Air Force has taken delivery of the second batch of three F-16 C/D block 52 fighter aircraft from the US.

The air force will shortly receive two additional aircraft of the same category.

The F-16 C/D block 52 aircraft is equipped with an advanced avionics suite and the latest weapons with night precision attack capability.

In 2005-06, Pakistan signed a contract with the US Government for the acquisition of 18 F-16 C/D block 52 aircraft, according to the Pakistan Times.

Under the contract, the first batch of three F-16 aircraft arrived in May 2010, while the deliveries of the remaining aircraft will be complete by December 2010.
