The US Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) has installed the AtHoc Alert emergency communications and mass notification system.

The AFIT is located on the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, US. It becomes the latest active duty air force major command to deploy the suite and will use it to provide network and telephone alerting to 3,975 students, faculty and staff members.

Another benefit for the institute will come from the company’s mobile application for smart phones and its capability to integrate with Cisco voice over internet protocol (VoIP) devices, which played a key role in its selection.
